Terms of Use
Last updated 23 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and GoodOrc LLC, the company that operates Chestful (“Chestful”, “we”, “us”). Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Chestful.
If you downloaded Chestful from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to that copy of the app. Where it conflicts with these terms, it wins.
Who can use Chestful
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account.
Your photos stay yours
You own everything you scan, import, or write in Chestful. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your photos, show them back to you and to people you have invited, generate restored versions and suggested captions when you ask for them, and package them into the exports you request. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We claim no ownership, and we do not use your photographs to train AI models or to promote Chestful.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload — that it is yours, or that the person whose it is has agreed.
Sharing and collaboration
You can invite other people to an album as a viewer (look and download) or an editor (also add, change, and remove photos and details). Invite only people you intend to show those photographs to. Anything a collaborator downloads or exports leaves our reach, so treat an invitation as permanent disclosure of that album’s contents to that person. An album owner can change or revoke access at any time, and a collaborator can leave an album.
What you may not do
- Upload or share anything illegal, or anything you do not have the rights to — including sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities and which ends the account immediately.
- Use a shared album to harass, threaten, or abuse another person.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or to anyone else’s content.
- Resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
If someone has shared objectionable content with you, or is using a shared album to abuse you, tell us at abuse@chestful.app. We investigate reports and act on them, up to removing content and terminating accounts. You can also remove yourself from any album at any time.
AI features
Restoration, colourisation, and captioning are generated by an AI model. They are a best guess, not a historical record: a restored photo is an interpretation of a damaged one, and a suggested caption, tag, or date may simply be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. Your originals are never overwritten, so you can always go back.
Purchases and subscriptions
Chestful is free to use with limits on AI restoration and captioning. Removing those limits requires a purchase, and the app shows the exact plan, duration, and price in your local currency before you buy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Payment is taken by the store that sold it, not by us. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple or Google account settings — uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Availability, and ending the agreement
We may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut Chestful down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your photos first. You can stop using Chestful and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Chestful is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep your photographs safe, but no online service can promise it will never lose data, so keep your original prints, and keep your own backup of anything irreplaceable. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Iowa are the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of them.
Nothing here takes away a right you cannot waive where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there; the same goes for any non-waivable consumer protection in your own US state.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Our not enforcing something straight away is not us giving it up.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
